About GrandPlan

It started with our own kids.

GrandPlan began with a simple obsession: finding new, fun things to do with our kids — keeping them moving, off screens, and out in the world.

But the bigger idea was about the rest of the family. Grandparents, aunts, uncles — I wanted them to have the keys too: to make their own plans, get a little creative, and find the one new thing that becomes the story everyone retells at the next family gathering.

It clicked on a trip to visit family in Seattle. Testing an early version of the app, we found parks, an electric go-kart track, and a couple of great ice cream spots — places our relatives, who've lived there for years, had never heard of.

That's the hope for GrandPlan: families exploring a little further, and coming home with memories worth talking about.

What we built.

GrandPlan is a deliberately simple app. Open it and you get five good options nearby — parks, indoor activities, and ice cream — each checked by a safety-trained AI against strict kid-safety rules and matched to the age of the kid in front of you. Then one tap for directions. Big text, plain words, no endless scroll. It's made for grandparents first — which turns out to be a good way to build for everyone.

What we won't budge on.

Come make a memory.

GrandPlan is on the App Store — free for iPhone, starting in the US.
